The Home Staging Association UK & Ireland recently carried out a survey of property professionals across the United Kingdom, including estate agents, property developers and property managers to determine the effects of home staging a property for sale.
The report highlights the benefits of dressing a property prior to a sale, something that we at Vanilla Square carry out often to make sure we maximise each sale price.
The findings of the report were astounding, for example, properties that are professionally staged sell three times faster than a non-staged property, with a higher number of viewings.

100% believed that staging makes it easier for a buyer to visualise the property as their future home.
59% recommend home staging for up to 25% of their property portfolio.
66% recommended home staging for properties from the outset.
Between lettings and sales, 86% recommended sales properties for staging with 14% for lettings.
94% believed that staging increased the number of viewings.
100% believed that properties with professional photos get more viewings than properties with poor-quality images.
75% believe that homebuyers spent more time viewing a home that is staged, as opposed to an unstaged home.
86% agreed that a staged home will sell up to 3 times faster than a non- staged home.
74% believed that the reception room was the most important to have staged to help sell.
